Children & Elementary

International Ballet Academy offers a complete curriculum to dancers and is designed to provide an increasing variety of classes.  Within each division, every class is tailored upon a syllabus that progresses with the dancer’s development.

Children’s Division

The Children’s Division is for children between the ages of 3 and 5 years sold. These pre-ballet classes are a prelude to formal ballet instruction and introduce children to music and movement through a structured progression that stresses creativity and group interaction. This year, we are also introducing a Pre-ballet/Tap classes.  Pre-Ballet has a limit of 14 students per class.

Elementary Division

The Elementary Division is designed for children between the ages of 6 and 12. It consists of Elementary 1 through Elementary 4 levels. Classes are based upon age, physical strength and development. Students are introduced to progressive levels of ballet technique as described in the IBA School Syllabus. They are promoted according to individual progress in acquiring technique and strength. Depending upon the level, classes meet between one to two times per week. There is a limit of 16 students per class.
