Spring Festival Performance 2026
The 2026 International Ballet Academy Spring Festival marks the culmination of a year of focused training, artistic growth, and disciplined development across every level of the school.
The program opens with Scenes de Ballet, a classical Grand Défilé inspired by the music of Alexander Glazunov. Beginning with our youngest dancers and progressing through each level, this opening presents the full scope of IBA—its structure, progression, and shared standard of excellence. It is both a celebration of the school as a whole and a clear reflection of its training philosophy.
The first act continues with Future Voices, featuring contemporary and musical theater works choreographed by Kathryn Mowat Murphy and senior students of the Pre-Professional Division. This section highlights versatility, creativity, and the individuality of our dancers, bridging classical training with modern expression.
The performance concludes with a Raymonda Suite, drawing from Acts I, II, and III of Raymonda, set to the sweeping score of Alexander Glazunov. This second act brings the entire school together through a curated sequence of classical excerpts, staged as a cohesive suite rather than a full narrative ballet. With a unifying visual and stylistic thread inspired by the ballet’s medieval setting, each level contributes to the larger work—showcasing technical progression, musicality, and ensemble cohesion.
Choreographed by Rubén Martín, Kathleen Dahlhoff, Kathryn Mowat Murphy, Lily Eselgroth, and Senior Students of the PPD Program, the Spring Festival offers a complete artistic journey—from foundational training to pre-professional performance.
