Kathleen Dahlhoff

Kathleen began her professional career with San Francisco Ballet at age 15, while still a student in the school. She was one of the few students personally selected by Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson to perform company roles in a variety of ballets, both classical and contemporary.

She spent the majority of her career dancing with Cincinnati Ballet, with a short break during which she earned her bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and performed with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. She graduated cum laude before returning to Cincinnati Ballet to complete her performing career.

Upon retiring, Kathleen served as Principal Ballet Teacher at Skye Ballet Center, where she led training and coaching for aspiring dancers. She is widely recognized for her emphasis on musicality, precision, and mentorship, and is deeply committed to helping each dancer grow with confidence, artistry, and discipline.

In her own words:
“We’re building more than just strong dancers — we’re building a community of artists who uplift each other. Our vision at IBA is to prepare students not only for professional careers in dance but to carry forward the values of excellence, resilience, and artistry into whatever they pursue.”
